SOUND FAMILIAR?
YOUR WINDOW WENT DOWN. THE PROBLEM DIDN’T STOP THERE.
The glass suddenly sank into the door, the switch stopped responding, or you heard a crunching cable. If you are trying to keep the weather out, the inconvenience is immediate.
We check the symptoms before assuming the motor or regulator needs replacement. You deserve a clear repair plan, not a parts-guessing exercise.
Choose the closest match. These are possible explanations, not a diagnosis.
A RUNNING MOTOR DOES NOT PROVE THE REGULATOR WORKS.
Caravan window regulators use cables and guides to lift the glass. A snapped or tangled cable can leave the glass down while the motor still runs. A quiet, unresponsive switch may instead point to an electrical fault.
We assess the window regulator, cable movement, glass supports, switch, motor and relevant wiring rather than replacing parts based on a sound alone.
STUCK OPEN? KEEP THE GLASS AND YOURSELF SAFE.
Do not repeatedly operate a grinding window or place hands in the door mechanism. Loose glass can fall unexpectedly. Weather protection may be needed until a repair is scheduled.
For temporary protection, see our stuck-down window guide. Keep any covering clear of your view before driving.
CARAVAN WINDOWS: TELL US EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED
Tell us whether the driver or passenger window is affected, whether the motor makes noise, and whether the glass has fallen or tilted. The model year matters because regulator assemblies and wiring vary.
Include your vehicle year, which window is affected, what you heard, whether the glass moves, and your ZIP code so we can check repair and parts availability.
